Indonesian Cooking Class with ICONE

Register now for a culinary adventure of authentic Indonesian cooking in a fun and interactive cooking session with our experienced chef. You will learn techniques of Indonesian cooking and become familiar with varieties of spices and other must have ingredients that make Indonesian food so delightfully tasty.

Through demonstration and some hands-on experience, together we will prepare two famous Indonesian dishes:

  1. Ayam Woku (Chicken Woku), a spicy chicken dish originating from Manado (North Sulawesi)
  2. Siomay, Indonesian steamed fish dumpling with vegetables served in peanut sauce

Reserved for max. 10 people/class.

This cooking class is brought by Indonesian Community of New England, Inc. (ICONE), a 501(c)(3) non-profit and volunteer-driven organization based in Massachusetts, with the mission of empowering and bringing the best out of Indonesians in New England towards a better, more connected and productive Indonesian community regardless of ethnicities, social-economic background and religions. The class is part of ICONE’s fundraising initiatives to establish future Indonesian Community Center, where people across New England can come to share and learn about Indonesian culture, arts, culinary, music and dances, as well as to gather to do many productive community programs.
